get to know me

As humans, we face daily challenges in life that feel never-ending. It’s hard to know who to trust or where to turn when life is difficult. My experience working with people of different ages and backgrounds helps me approach each client with care and acceptance.

I have had a heart for growth since I was in high school. I was always seeking to grow and learn in many areas of my life. Whether that was through books, listening or just asking questions my quest for knowledge was always right under the surface of whatever I was doing. This is why I became a counselor. I had a knack for seeing things others couldn't see and helping them grow at the same time. I was always able to be calm in crisis while I sat with others in pain. And I always felt fulfilled being able to help others.

As a California native, I've had my fair share of adventure. I have traveled to over 20 different countries doing Christian ministry before moving to Atlanta to pursue my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. It was through this journey I developed a heart for people of all cultures, beliefs, and regions of the world. Today, this experience has given me a unique perspective and passion for the diversity of clients I've had in the counseling room.

I have been in the field for 8 years with over 7 years in a private practice environment. I have worked 2 years at an inpatient hospital, Ridgeview Institute, where I got to help clients who struggle with severe mental disorders. I have also worked in a ministry capacity as a therapist and assessed missionaries on the mission field. I am an adjunct professor at Point University in the areas of psychology and counseling.

I am a Christian therapist and it is integrated into the work with each client who desires it. However, I work with people from many different backgrounds no matter their age, race, religion, sexual orientation, and ethnicity.

I'm passionate about helping others heal in their relationship with God, themselves and others.
